"I speak at many leadership conferences, and sometimes if I'm speaking in a workshop or seminar format, rather than predetermining what I'm going to speak on, I will hand out a list of topics and say "I'm prepared to speak on any of these. I want to speak on the one that is most important to you." Then I let the group vote on what they would like to be taught.
