Faculty Opening: Director of Korean-English Bilingual Program, Open Discipline
Gateway Seminary (www.gs.edu) invites applications and nominations for a full-time trustee-elected faculty position split evenly between normal faculty responsibilities and administrative leadership of the Korean English Bilingual Program.
Duties: The professor will be based at the Ontario, CA campus of the Seminary, teach 10 credit hours annually in accord with academic credentials held, provide primary oversight, development, and management of the Korean English Bilingual program of Gateway Seminary, and participate in normal faculty responsibilities. Qualifications: An appropriate doctoral degree from an accredited (regional and/or ATS) institution in one of Gateway’s core disciplines (OT, NT, Theology, Missions, Practical Ministry, or Educational Leadership) is required. As a hybrid faculty position, various factors will be weighed: administrative experience in a higher educational context, in-person and online teaching experience, a robust research and writing profile, demonstrated ministry effectiveness in local church, parachurch, or missional contexts, and ability to teach in Korean. No candidate will have all of these desired competencies, but the successful applicant will have demonstrated excellence in various dimensions. The candidate's background should reflect an ability to function in a multi-cultural context. A successful candidate must affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, as well as the mission and vision statements of the Seminary. GS faculty are required to be active members of a Southern Baptist Church; in the cover letter, please describe your current church or denominational affiliation.

Starting Date: Trustee election anticipated May 2025 with a summer 2025 start date.
