Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program and Professor of Leadership Formation
Gateway Seminary invites applications and nominations for a full-time trustee-elected position, Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program and Professor of Leadership Formation.
Duties: The Director will guide the program faculty and staff in order to plan, budget, administer, represent, recruit, develop, and evaluate the work and mission of the Doctor of Ministry program at Gateway Seminary and will teach 10 credit hours annually within the DMin. program. The Director will also participate in faculty shared governance and will conduct scholarly research and writing.
Qualifications: Doctoral degree from a regionally or ATS accredited institution in an area of study appropriate to the teaching of leadership from a Christian perspective. A preferred candidate will have professional leadership experience in the church and in higher education, demonstrated competence in instruction, a record of scholarly and/or professional research, commitment to collegiality, and ability to participate in distance learning. The candidate must affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, be a member of a Southern Baptist Church, and be prepared to work in support of the current mission statement of the Seminary.
Rank/salary: Determined by credentials and experience.
Start date: January 31, 2025 or as soon as possible after that by Presidential Appointment. Review of applications begins immediately. Trustee election anticipated May 2025.
