Dr. Ron Hornecker was Professor of Ministry and the Associate Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at Gateway Seminary until his retirement. Prior to coming to Gateway, Dr. Hornecker was the pastor of Noland Road Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri, and was recognized with the PACT Church of the Year award for the western half of the United States by the Southern Baptist home missions agency. The award was given in recognition of accomplishments and progress made by the church. Hornecker also served as pastor of several other churches in Missouri. He was a founding co-pastor of Novato Christian Fellowship, a church begun near the Seminary's Northern California campus to reach the unchurched in Marin County. He was a contributor to the book Experiencing Ministry Supervision and co-authored with Doran McCarty Making the Most of Change. Dr. Hornecker is also a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
