Our Staff

While currently serving as associate professor of Ministry Leadership, Dr. Bivins is a former football coach, radio DJ, business administrator and pastor, and is passionate about helping people take the next step in their development. Prior to Gateway, he served as an associational missionary in Tennessee and Alaska, leading transformational processes founded on church planting and renewals, and leadership coaching. Dallas brings a unique blend of coaching experience from the athletic field, business boardroom, and the local church.

A Phoenix native, Dallas is a graduate of Thunderbird High School and Grand Canyon University (B.A.), as well as Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.R.E.). He holds a Doctor of Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Gateway Seminary. His doctoral studies focused on servant leadership and transformational leadership coaching. 

Dallas is married to Becca, and they have three children. Dallas enjoys his free time on the golf course, working on his old cars, and riding his bike. The Bivins family is an ardent supporter of the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
