About SBC:
SBC has a core group of loving people interested in being part of a cohesive team to support the new pastor as we work together to fulfill God's Kingdom purposes within Springfield and beyond. We seek to be inward in discipleship and accountability but outward in evangelism. The needs of our community are like those of rural America everywhere: unreached families, neglected youth, overwhelmed adults, those struggling with drug abuse or mental health issues and the aging elderly.

What we are looking for:

Our congregation is seeking someone to partner with us to spark revival in our community and regrow our congregation. He would do this through:
• Equipping the saints in the Word through preaching, teaching, and discipleship.
• Exciting the church to be a 100% participant outreach ministry.
• Enabling the church to be participatory in God's Commission.

We are seeking a pastor with experience in a variety of ministries beyond the pulpit, that may include children and youth, singles, marrieds, counseling, hospice, and ministering to the elderly. We do not expect him to work alone, however we are looking for a shepherd to lead by example through teaching, and maturing our scope of Scripture, and expanding our abilities to evangelize and disciple others.

With a current average attendance of around 30-40, we can currently offer a part-time salary of ($35,000) with increases possible as the church expands. It is our goal for the senior pastor position to grow into a full-time position fully supported by the church.

We are seeking a pastor who holds to the Biblical doctrines of the faith. Must exhibit the fruits of the Spirit in the way he leads. We are a Southern Baptist church with members from all backgrounds, and it is expected that our pastor would lead with grace our SBC pulpit.
