We are a small church who desires to grow and reach our community and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are located in Ojai, CA and have been in existence for nearly 60 years. The Ojai Valley is a beautiful little community nestled below the mountains of the Los Padres National Forest and just minutes from the ocean. Right now, we average between 20-30 in attendance for Sunday worship. In the past we have had an active youth ministry, AWANA program, Sunday School, and a Sunday evening service. Since COVID, like many other churches, those programs have not been able to recover. At present, we have 2 Deacons who look forward to serving alongside our new Pastor.
We have been blessed by God to be debt free and our annual budget is $112,131.04. The property sits on a beautiful oak studded hillside with tremendous views of the surrounding mountains and valley. There is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath parsonage with a 2-car garage on the property as well.
Currently we have a Sunday morning worship time and a mid-week Bible study and prayer time. The first Sunday of the month we have an all-ages breakfast and Bible study time before our morning worship. We have also "adopted" the elementary school down the street in order to serve our community. We are open to God's leading, through the Pastor's leadership, to reinstating the above-mentioned programs along with other possibilities that would best suit the needs of our community.
Our mission statement is to "Worship God & Love People by Sharing the Gospel of Christ, Teaching His Ways, and Building Relationships as we Serve God Together". We are looking for a strong leader who will shepherd us in this endeavor.
