Grace Community Church of Maricopa is seeking a Worship Pastor.


Role and Responsibilities:

The role of the Worship Pastor is to cultivate an environment for people to worship Jesus Christ through
congregational singing, preaching, and prayer.
General responsibilities of the position:
• Minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to the church, and in particular worship ministry participants, through
authenticity and intentional discipleship.
• Lead regular worship practices and meetings in preparation for weekly Sunday Worship gatherings.
• Provide Audio/Media oversight and implementation as the ministry requires.
• Coordinate with the Senior Pastor and the worship ministry team to for worship gatherings.
• Act in love, compassion, and care as a ministry of the gospel at GCC.
• Coordinate with the Senior Pastor and GCC volunteers to plan and execute multiple music events annually.


General character and theological requirements of the position:

• Must have a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must be a student of Scripture with a desire to teach others.
• Must be in full agreement with GCC statement of faith.
• Must have a genuine call and commitment to ministry.
• Must have advanced, professional communication skills.
• Must keep a lifestyle of faithfulness to Christ.
• Must be a visionary and possess the ability to actualize the vision.
• Must be a creative problem solver.
• Must have advanced skills on guitar or piano.
• Must have the ability and desire to be the lead vocalist.
• Must attend weekly church staff meeting.


City of Maricopa:

The city of Maricopa, Arizona consistently ranked as one of the fasted growing cities in the United States for the last several years. Since 2021, Maricopa has maintained a population growth rate of 5.7% - 6.1%. Practically speaking, this means a lot of new housing development, stores, and people

Maricopa has a mixture of new homes, older homes, rentable bungalows, apartments, and houses on acreage immediately outside of town.

Maricopa is conveniently located 20 miles south of the Phoenix metro area. Phoenix metro places as the 5th largest metropolitan in the United States. One positive feature of Maricopa’s proximity to Phoenix metro is the broad availability of shopping, employment, and educational opportunities. One challenge is the number of people who travel to Phoenix metro for church services.


Grace Community Church Maricopa:

Grace Community Church Maricopa (Grace), is a church revitalization ministry. The church is currently a mixture of all age groups with the largest demographic consisting of retirees that are 65 years old and beyond.

The Lord sent me to Grace three years ago to pastor and revitalize this church. Since my arrival, we have made several spiritual and material leaps.

In 2023, Grace Community Church Maricopa began a major remodel of our church facilities, originally built in 1963. This remodel is expected to be completed by this summer. In addition to the remodel, Grace Community Church Maricopa has raised the funds to build a new sanctuary and parking lot.
