Executive Pastor of Ministry Advancement

Salary/Range: $75,000 to $85,000
Job Summary: The role of the Executive Pastor of Ministry Advancement is to oversee the day-to-day ministry and worship functions of the Church. The Executive Pastor of Ministry Advancement is responsible for managing the following direct reports:
• Minister of Children, Youth & Young Adults
• Director of Celebration Arts (a.k.a. Minister of Music)
• Director of Christian Education & Discipleship
• Director of Counseling, Outreach, and Evangelism
• Marketing and Media Manager
• Executive Administrative Assistant (Supports Senior Pastor 50%, EPMA 50%)
Essential Job Functions: The Executive Pastor of Ministry Advancement reports to the Senior Pastor to carry out the following responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and the implementation of the strategic plan
• Translate the strategic plan into an annual tactical plan for direct reports aligned with Church-wide goals and priorities.
• Oversee the preparation, monitoring, and management of the ministries budget to ensure strategic alignment as directed by the Senior Pastor and approved by the Friendship Baptist Church body.
Education Requirements: Master's degree in a ministry-related area, such as an M.Div. Three to 5+ years of successful business development, corporate leadership, and management experience in the for-profit or non-profit sector. Leadership in a ministerial role within a church organization. Must be an ordained minister who can assist in conducting other pastoral duties as directed by the Senior Pastor.
Experience Requirements: Strategic planning development. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Database systems, and internet software. Excellent organizational skills. Strong analytical abilities. Have a mature & aligned walk with Christ. Excellent organizational skills. Be an innovative thinker who takes the initiative and achieves problem resolutions.
Preferred Experience: A plus but not required: MBA and five to 10 years of full-time ministry experience in a diverse setting.
