ABOUT FIRST MARION BAPTIST CHURCH
First Marion is on a mission to share and show the love of Christ in our community and around the world through missions. We are searching for a Worship Minister who is committed to sharing the love of Christ with our church family and is excited about leading worship that reflects the church’s overall mission and vision.
First Marion Baptist Church is located in the big curve on Highway 77 in Marion, Arkansas. Our Worship Center, renovated in the last 5 years, seats about 600 church members. We are also blessed with a fellowship hall, a coffee bar/connection center, a gym, a full-service kitchen, and an extremely talented worship team. Today, First Marion has an average of 280-340 people attending our weekly worship service, and that number is continuing to grow.
ABOUT THIS POSITION
As the Worship Minister, you will have the opportunity to oversee the worship and music ministry by developing, conducting, and evaluating Spirit-led music and worship arts. Additionally, you would be responsible for choosing quality music that glorifies the Lord, helps believers to worship Him, deepens their beliefs, and pulls in non-believers to Christ. This position will report to the Senior Pastor. You will be expected to collaborate with all ministry areas. Your role will be to plan and lead all facets of worship services, raise up and encourage future leaders serving on the worship/media teams, and assist in special ministry opportunities.
MAIN JOB TASKS
WORSHIP LEADER
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Music Ministry, including but not limited to worship services, Student Ministry gatherings, Kids Ministry gatherings, weddings, funerals, and other events.
Develop, encourage, equip, and teach musicians, vocalists, and technicians within the church to participate and/or lead in various aspects of our Music Ministry.
Collaborate with the lead pastor to plan worship sets in conjunction with sermons.
MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY
Manage the Media Team and coordinate all technology aspects for worship services, including sound, lighting, visuals, and live streaming.
STAFF MEMBER
Attend regular staff meetings, retreats, and conferences, and work well with the staff in order to advance the mission of the church.
Create, cast, and execute a vision for the worship ministry that aligns with the church’s mission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to play at least one instrument
• Worship ministry experience preferred, but amount will vary depending on skill sets
• Knowledgeable of audio/visual and lighting equipment
• Must be a follower of Jesus, exhibiting a growing relationship and spiritual maturity with God
• A self-motivated leader, capable of casting, imparting, and following vision for ministry
• Technology savvy

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
The target base salary range for this position is competitive and part of a compensation package including vacation time, sick time, life insurance, and health insurance. Individual pay will be determined by a number of factors, including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
