First Baptist Owensboro is looking for an energetic, follower of Christ to lead our children, birth to 5th grade, with the help of our preschool director. FBC wants to see a children’s ministry full of opportunities to encourage our children to grow in their faith, bring friends, and make a difference in our community by drawing others to Christ through love. The ideal candidate will be passionate about children's ministry, experienced in working with children, and a team player!
Primary Responsibilities:
● Oversee all aspects of Kids Ministry with the help of a Preschool Director (ages 0-5th grade).
● Provide Biblical education in a creative way and encourage children in personal spiritual growth.
● Manage department budget.
● Equip parents and families with discipleship resources.
● Provide ongoing training to leaders and volunteers.
● Organize and oversee seasonal events for children.
Qualifications:
● Spiritually mature Christ-follower.
● Called to full-time Children’s Ministry.
● Bachelor’s degree and previous experience in a related field preferred.
● Understanding of child development with the ability to develop age-appropriate programs.
● Ability to communicate with and build relationships with parents.
● Experience leading and developing teams.
● Ability to work within the leadership structure of the church.
