First Baptist Church North Bend is a 75-year-old Southern Baptist Church on the Southern Oregon Coast. 
We are prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor. We are searching for the man whom God calls to lead and shepherd our congregation. 
The Pastor will lead and nurture our congregation, provide spiritual leadership and guidance to our church family and our community. The main role is to proclaim God’s Word while ministering to the Spiritual needs and providing Biblical leadership for the church. Particular emphasis should also be placed on training disciples and developing leaders, creating an active body of Christ where everyone participates in serving the Lord.          
Primary Responsibilities:
·       Prepare and deliver engaging weekly sermons and be engaged with worship services.
·       Offer support and counseling to individuals and families.
·       Motivate, equip, and nurture the church’s people through example, preaching, and teaching of God’s Word.
·       Contact / visit hospitalized or grieving church members.
·       Perform baptisms and officiate the Lord’s Supper.
Perform weddings and funerals.
·       Develop small study groups and small group leaders and mobilize believers for activities to serve the Lord.
·       Lead /participate in regular education program planning meetings.
·       Lead /participate in choosing and securing or developing appropriate educational and curriculum materials.
·       Fully support First Baptist North Bend Church’s unified operating budget and avoid soliciting or expending funds not previously authorized.
·       Serve as an effective liaison to ministry teams and committees.
·       Full agreement to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and adhering to First Baptist North Bend Church’s bylaws and constitution.
Basic Personal Responsibilities:
·       Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation.
·       Maintain proper priorities in your home and be the spiritual leader to your wife and children.
·       Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
