Job Description:
Music director ministry (part-time) at Cross of Grace Christian Church, San Leandro, CA
Purpose:
Lead and improve worship quality to elevate all to be ready for God’s words
Tasks:
1. Design and implement weekly worship program, e.g. song selection, music accompaniment, choir practice, and worship leading.
2. Enhance and expand the choir to offer serving opportunities for many others.
3. Design, coordinate, and implement musical programs for major events such as outreach programs, New year, mid-autumn, and Christmas.
4. Envision and grow a children choir.
Qualifications:
1. A mature Christian who agrees with our statement of faith
2. Professionally trained and certified in music
3. 2+ years of worship-leading experience
4. Proficient pianist, and other instruments a plus
5. Fluent in Chinese; Cantonese is the main language used in the congregation.
6. Willing to become a church member
7. Has legal right to work in the U.S.
