Fountain Hills, AZ. As the oldest Church in Fountain Hills, we recently celebrated our 50th
anniversary of serving the community. Located on the Northeast corner of Scottsdale, AZ, the
church serves many residents of the East Valley, including communities like Mesa, Gilbert and
Scottsdale, in addition to our home of Fountain Hills.

Position Overview:
The Senior Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of Cornerstone Family Church, is responsible
for preaching, teaching, and providing visionary leadership to the congregation. The ideal
candidate will possess a deep commitment to God, a passion for ministry, and the ability to
bring the gospel to the people of Fountain Hills with a unique emphasis on building a loving
church family with spiritually healthy families.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preaching and Teaching:
• Deliver engaging and biblically-sound, expositional sermons on Sundays and
during special services.
• Provide exegetical biblical teaching through Bible studies, classes, and small
group ministries.
2. Leadership and Vision:
• Develop and communicate a clear vision for the church’s future.
• Lead the church leadership team in strategic planning and decision-making
processes.
3. Pastoral Care:
• Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to church members and their families.
• Oversee and support various ministries within the church.
4. Community Engagement:
• Foster relationships within the local community and encourage outreach
programs.
• Collaborate with other likeminded local churches and organizations for
community service initiatives.
5. Administrative Duties:
• Oversee the church's administration, including budgeting, staff management, and
facility maintenance.
• Ensure that church policies and procedures are followed.
6. Discipleship and Growth:
• Promote spiritual growth initiatives and discipleship programs within the church.
• Mentor and develop church staff and volunteers.
Qualifications:
• A deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ, with a strong commitment to the mission of the
church.
• Graduate degree or equivalent training.
• Proven experience in pastoral leadership, (5-7 years) preferably in a Senior Pastor role
in an SBC Church.
• Excellent preaching and teaching skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to
diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals and families.
• Experience in church administration and leadership development is preferred.
