Dear interested graduate or soon-to-graduate student:
We are praying to God to send us a servant who loves the Lord and who loves His people to serve as full-time Assistant Pastor in our church. We desire an additional theologically trained worker (extra pair of hands so to speak) to work in God's field with us, starting with Chinatown of San Francisco (Matt. 9:38). We see potential ahead. We believe that if you are the person that God is calling to our church, that you would be a great help in ushering the church into the next era of her long history. We believe an additional trained worker would also help us do more for God (scope wise), to do ministry more in-depth and at a faster pace.
Our basic qualification requirements are as follows:
• Called by God -- evident in commitment & spiritual life: character, family life --fitting 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1
• Equipped by God -- theologically trained and able to teach the Word of God; of the same theologically mindset as the existing ministers, to begin with, trained also in a seminary within the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC seminary).
• Molded by God-- relationally, i.e. a team player -- most importantly, must be able to work together with the existing ministers
Note: The candidate does not need to have a particular type of skill set/experience or language ability (see first paragraph). However, besides spiritual gift(s), if God has also equipped you with special skills/talents or if God has laid on your heart specific burden/ passion, please identify them in your resume and we will consider capitalizing on your strengths.

a) A 300-400 word statement regarding your personal testimony of salvation
b) A 500-600 word statement regarding the confirmation of God's call
c) A one to two page resume outlining your training (not limited to school) and any ministry experience, plus noting any past working relationships--with references.
Upon receipt of the above, the pastors will then do a screening. If the pastors feel you meet the above qualifications, then they would want to meet with you (either Zoom or in-person).
Note: For information, we are an inner city (urban) multi-generational church, affiliated with SBC. We hold both Chinese and English worship services. We can accommodate from 100 to 180 people (right now we are more on the lower end). In last few years, we see the Lord adding to us young couples/families. Over the years, the Lord has blessed us with many resources, including more than adequate facilities, members who remain faithful coming to CIBCSF and who are generous in giving to the Lord financially so that we are never lacking.
